91³Ô¹Ï’s Youth Camps engage youth to become tomorrow’s innovators through extensive interaction with highly seasoned instructors, field practitioners, 91³Ô¹Ï students, alumni, and representatives from various businesses and industries. Activity tutorials, experiments, field activities, project-based learning, field trips, and hands-on presentations are organized on a fun and structured schedule. Our mission is to encourage students to envision themselves in STEAM careers.

Currently, 91³Ô¹Ï's STEAM Camp program operates sessions in winter and summer.

Summer STEAM Camp 2026

Governors State University is hosting hands-on science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics STEAM camp fun from the weeks July 20-24 and July 27-30! Campers will be guided through STEAM activities! This program is also ideal for Homeschoolers. All are welcome! Registration will close at 50 participants!

Ages: Middle and High School Students (10 - 16)
Location: Governors State University
Date: July 20-24 & July 27-31
Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Camp Fee: $400* (Scholarships Available)

*Lunch and snacks included in registration fee!

College of Health and Human Services

Health Careers Summer Camp

Experience a three-day educational camp open to all high school students interested in the exciting field of healthcare! Participate in hands-on learning activities, labs, and more!

Date: June 16-18
Time: 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Camp Fee: $100* (Scholarships Available)

*Includes all printed materials, t-shirt, basic CPR certification, and a field trip to an area hospital for each participant

Innovation and Technology Camp

This 3-day camp has four sections that teach these subjects: 3D printing/Scanning, 3D Modeling for Games, Animation, and Design, and Game Design/AI Tools.

Ages: High School Students (14 to 18)
Location: Governors State University
Date: July 8-10
Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Camp Fee: $130

CSIFF Youth Film Summer Camp

A hands-on movie making experience that students will create from idea to film premiere. All facets of filmmaking will be led by media professionals over a three-week period.

Ages: High School Students (14 to 18)
Location: Governors State University
Date: Monday - Wednesday, June 15-17, June 22 - 24, June 29 - July 1
Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Camp Fee: $500
