ALAS Student Ambassador Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2022 by the Governors State University Foundation, the Association of Latin American Students (ALAS) executive board, and the organization’s co-advisors to empower future generations of student leaders. The scholarship also honors Melinda Arce-Gudino, whose leadership and commitment as a co-advisor during that time were instrumental in launching this initiative. Its goal is to ensure a sustainable pipeline of leaders who will continue championing the mission of ALAS at Governors State University.
